Last weekend I was crazy busy. Between working both jobs and French homework I barely had time to sit down and relax.  Friday before I went to work, mom took me and my lil cousin Jake to my favorite place in New Orleans.  The Red, White, and Blue thrift store. Sadly I didn't find a lot but I did find a black leather blazer that I've been wanting for a while now.  And didn't have to spend tons of money for it, will be a winter staple.

This Thursday will kick off the annual Essence Festival in New Orleans which happens every July 4th weekend. This weekend is bound to be a crazy especially since I'll be working and my cousin will be in town.

Will I'm off to do some work.

I don't know how long I've been having this jacket that I found at the thrift store. It came with a skirt but for some reason can't find it.  It's soooooo sad. The jacket is a little dress thats why I wore it with my tank and shorts to bring the super dressy factor down.  I've been seeing the sheer jacket trend all over the place.  I'm loving the trend just not the price that it takes to wear it.  Plus most of them are super long and I'm not tall at all. Well, off to do some school work that I was suppose to do this weekend.

Man its hot in New Orleans, hot and sticky so for all of you NYC complaining about heat, I'll trade spots with you any day you like.

Anyway,  I've been having this crop top in my closet since last month and was suppose to wear it to Jazz-fest but that don't work out. I love the fringe and how oversize it is. Plus this the only way that I could and would wore a crop shirt at this moment. The skirt I had for ages and what I put them together, it was the perfect mix of  Native, Animal and Urban. The shoes haven't been worn since my fall in them in Atlanta lol. And since I pledged to wear more of my shoes  here they are.

Hey everyone, its been a while. I finally got the internet fix and back on today. AT&T you still suck but thank you for doing your job ( that I pay you for). Anyway, the day this pictures was taken I let my mom pick out my outfit. It is a little too girly for me, and my only input was the denim vest.  Yet, it doesn't look half bad. I'm starting to get into wearing heels or wedges more often, and I must admit that it does adds a certain ump to your outfit. 

Well since I have the internet back I should be posting more. And with one of my best friends is coming into town this weekend I should have tons of pictures.  

Now I'm off to finish my French homework and studying for my test tomorrow.

Orange Sorbet and Dots

Yesterday I had the chance to hit up the Salvation Army half price sale that happens every Wednesday and Saturday. I found a couple of things but the big score of the day was a DFV vintage orange and hot pink silk blouse I could not even enjoy because it was a size small.  I still brought it because I plan on selling it to a local buy-trade store.  What I did find and could enjoy was an awesome navy blue members only jacket in prefect condition, a pair of polk-dot shorts, and two gold mugs that are pretty kick ass.

Other good news my internet should be on tomorrow,YEAH!!!!!!!!  But AT&T still sucks. Well I'm off to do some work.

SunFlowers and Leopard Spots

Yesterday was hot and humid as hell ( if hell was humid lol).  Everywhere you went outside you happen to sweat. I think this is why my photos came out so funny looking, but I'm going to say it gives it a vintage feel.  As you can tell I've been working on wearing more of my shoe collection because as you saw in the past post I have alot of shoes.  And I there are more shoes than what I showed ( I know I know).  

Another thing I'm getting into is the mixing prints and colors which I've always did and been a fan of. I believe that everything doesn't have to be so matchy matchy. And actually I hate the concept of matching everything to a certain color or style. So when my mom let me buy this dress off of her my mind immediately thought of  pairing the dress with my leopard print shoes that I never wore. And I think the outcome turn out pretty cool.

Well I'm off to do some homework at school, because as of this present moment I still don't have internet at home. THANKS AT&T.........NOT!!!!!!!!!!
