Steal of the Day: Retro Check Mate

Black & White Plaid Slim 3/4 Sleeve Mini

$22

Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 Runway

Ebay's: Womens Lady Retro Black White Check Short Sleeve Dress

$21
Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 Runway
From Left to Right: Juno Temple, Kristen Dunst, Kristen Stewart, Jessica Alba, Kerry Washington

Over the last couple of weeks we have seen celebs from Rihanna to Kerry Washington show up and show out in Marc Jacob's Louis Vuitton 2013 Spring collection.  The bold checks are both edgy and ladylike. Showing that modest can also be sexy. During my daily search on Ebay I stumble upon a couple of sellers who were selling dresses inspired (ripped) from his 2013 collection.  Ranging from $15 to $26 how isn't that a deal, better yet a steal!!!!

Printed Zebra

Tank & Earrings: Urban Outfitters, Shorts: Anthropologie, Shoes: Dolce Vita for Target, Watch: Nixon,Purse & Sunglasses: Thrift Store, Rings: Ebay, Baby cousin: JAKE

Last weekend I was crazy busy. Between working both jobs and French homework I barely had time to sit down and relax.  Friday before I went to work, mom took me and my lil cousin Jake to my favorite place in New Orleans.  The Red, White, and Blue thrift store. Sadly I didn't find a lot but I did find a black leather blazer that I've been wanting for a while now.  And didn't have to spend tons of money for it, will be a winter staple.

This Thursday will kick off the annual Essence Festival in New Orleans which happens every July 4th weekend. This weekend is bound to be a crazy especially since I'll be working and my cousin will be in town.

Will I'm off to do some work.

Native Animal

Shirt: Urban Outfitters, Skirt: Thrift store, Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell, Sunglasses: Ebay, Watch: Nixon, Jewelry: Random

Man its hot in New Orleans, hot and sticky so for all of you NYC complaining about heat, I'll trade spots with you any day you like.

Anyway,  I've been having this crop top in my closet since last month and was suppose to wear it to Jazz-fest but that don't work out. I love the fringe and how oversize it is. Plus this the only way that I could and would wore a crop shirt at this moment. The skirt I had for ages and what I put them together, it was the perfect mix of  Native, Animal and Urban. The shoes haven't been worn since my fall in them in Atlanta lol. And since I pledged to wear more of my shoes  here they are.

Fishes Are In School

Shirt and Shoes: Urbanoutfitters, Palazzo pants: Thrift Store, Max MaraBag: Buffalo Exchange, Necklace and bracelet: Random, Rings: Ebay

How awesome is these palazzo pants that my mom found for me at the thrift. At first I was a little scared to wear them. Then I was F* that  these are the shit. I got a lot of stares walking down the street to work. But thats what happen when you just love fashion and happen to not care what others think. This past Sunday I went to Jazz Fest to see John Legend and the Roots, then Mos Def pop up on stage and did a surprise performance. Hot!!!!! Right?  I will post pics of that in the next few days.

Anyway, I up for a week of butt kicking, due to finals. Yet, when I'm at Jazz Fest this Friday and Saturday watching Mrs. Lauryn Hill (don't forget the Mrs. Now lol) and Lupe it will all be worth it. Well off to do some damn work. Have a nice day.

P.S:  I'm starting to save for Nixon Camera, so by mid-summer my photos should be the bomb.

LACE IT UP

Sweater & Skirt: Forever21, Shoes: Doc Martens, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban, Jewelry: Ebay, Laughter: Free

Well as I promise, and since my mom off from work this week I could get back to taking pics of my outfits. Today is Lundi Gras, or the day before Fat Tuesday. And in New Orleans this is the best day to party, because on Fat Tuesday shit shut down at 12:00pm for Ash Wednesday. It was a little chilly today so I throw on my sweater and doc's.
Well I'm off to bake a King Cake and have a beer with friends.

Purple, Green, and .... Black

Dress: Urbanoutfitters, Jacket, Coach Bag, and Necklace: Thrift store, Shoes: Ebay, Watch: Fossil, Glasses: Raybans (Last Photo via Amiee Everett)

Hey everyone its been a long time. Today starts off the last weekend of parades until Mardi Gras.   In New Orleans that means lots of traffic, drunk folks, food, and beads.  My outfit reflect my twist of Mardi Gras attire, by pulling out my favorite army jacket purple, green, and black became my Mardi Gras colors.

As with every Saturday I head out for my thrift store trip. I found some really awesome stuff. Knowing but noticing the weather, when I was done shopping I walked into hurricane type rain and winds.

Well off to have a cup of coffee and watch Inception.

Forest Animals

Everything except the shoes from the Thrift Store, shoes Ebay

First day of my last semester of college and I feel like running through the street screaming with joy. I know all college students have felt like this at times.  Knowing that my goal is just within my reach its such a great feeling. Like Bambi finally becoming  prince of the forest ( or princess, lol). Speaking of deer, I found this awesome dress at the thrift store during their dollar sale. Awesome Right?????

Military style cargo skinnies and Ray-Ban  and I was ready to head out and hit the busy and sometime crazy Red, White, and Blue thrift store.

Monday is Martin Luther King Day, me and my family are going to a youth rally were adults and teens volunteer in their community tomorrow. We have been doing this for the last 3 years now, its our little way of helping keep Mr. King's dream alive.

Well everyone enjoy your Martin Luther King holiday and I hope you can do your small share to keep his dream alive and on the way create your own dream.

Bronze Day Rider

Skirt (Rozae Nichols)and Bag courtesy of Thrift store,Stripe Shirt and Necklace (Forever21), 2nd Necklace( simply Fashion, Scarf (UrbanOutfitters), Shoes (Jeffrey Campbell), Leather jacket (Buffalo Exchange) Moschino Record Watch (Nordstrand Rack), Ring and Sunglasses (Ebay)

Lately I have been obsessing over long maxi skirts. So when I found this bronze Rozae Nichols long skirt for a $1 at the thrift store I was excited and a little scared. Why? Because what do you wear with a long bronze skirt? So I took it upon myself to experiment and find out. I took one of my most worn piece, you know, the stripe shirt and throw on my leather jacket and boom, awesome outfit. Then I added the shoes that I drool over half of last year and haven't worn since summer. The maxi skirt is one of the pieces on my summer must have list. I will be posting that soon. What piece of clothing do you have to own this summer?
