Jazz-Fest Pt.3

Shirt, Coach Bag, Shoes: Thrift Store, Shorts: BDG Urbanoutfitters, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban, Bracelet: Anthropologie, Watch: Moschino
This past Saturday I had chance to see Mrs. Lauryn Hill in concert.  Of course I had to work ( sucks I know).  So I got up at 7:00 am to be at work for 8:00 am to get off at 4:00 pm. I barley making it on time for the 5:30 pm performance because I (my silly self) left my wallet at work. Yet, I made it there and enjoyed an awesome performance. I wish she would have done some songs from her unplugged album but she played a few from her Fugees days and a little Bob Marley too. All and all a very eventful day and weekend courtesy of New Orleans Heritage Jazz Festival.

Jazz Fest 2011 Pt.2

Shirt: Anthropologie & Bracelet, Shorts: BDG Urbanoutfitters, Shoes:Minnetonka FreePeople, Hat: Thrift, Watch: Fossil, Necklace & Earrings: Vintage

Hey, I hope everyone had a good weekend. Last weekend was crazy busy for me. Not only did I go to the New Orleans Jazz-Fest but I had to work and study for finals too. On Friday I went to see Lupe Fiasco and he put on an amazing show. He had so much good energy and stage presence, plus the band just add more dimensions to the music. I didn't really get to walk around and take pictures because I didn't want to lose my good spot in the front.  Well, I'm off to study for my last final, wish me luck.

(Sorry for the lack of good quality pictures. My camera was stolen about two months ago and I have been using my Iphone to take the pics. Saving up for a kick-ass Nikon.)

Kanye West in Silk

Via Style.com

Rapper/producer/style savant/Tory Burch menswear test case Kanye West made fashion headlines (again) when he reached out to M/M Paris’ Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag to create a limited range of scarves based on the George Condo paintings that he commissioned for his latest album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.  MMParis.com and Colette produce the scarves in editions of 100. The five designs include a take on the album’s cover (”Phoenix,” below); a crowned, perhaps Kanye-esque head stuck with a sword (”Power,” bottom); two screaming faces (”Face” and “Priest”); and our favorite, “Ballerina” (above). The French-made, silk twill scarves all feature Condo’s paintings, with hand-lettered borders by M/M Paris. €250 and one’s yours.

This is just to kick ass. To bad I can't afford one because it would be you around my neck Kanye.

Jazz Fest Time

Last Sunday me and my best-friend Amiee went to the New Orleans Heritage Jazz-Fest to go see John Legend and The Roots. It was a really nice day out and everything was pretty chill until me and my friend gotten threaten with a ass-kicking for supposedly taken a spot at a festival that was general admission LMAO ( I know craziness). Anyway, we still got to enjoy the show from the very front and as a surprise treat Mos Def come onstage to do a number with the Roots and John Legend. Awesome, I know. Tomorrow I will be heading back to the festival to see Lupe Fiasco. I will be taking tons of pics for you guys.

Oh yeah Mos Def come into my job yesterday looking freakin hot as hell, and being as chill as he want to be. Him and his lady friends seem to be enjoying themselves in the N.O.

Fishes Are In School

Shirt and Shoes: Urbanoutfitters, Palazzo pants: Thrift Store, Max MaraBag: Buffalo Exchange, Necklace and bracelet: Random, Rings: Ebay

How awesome is these palazzo pants that my mom found for me at the thrift. At first I was a little scared to wear them. Then I was F* that  these are the shit. I got a lot of stares walking down the street to work. But thats what happen when you just love fashion and happen to not care what others think. This past Sunday I went to Jazz Fest to see John Legend and the Roots, then Mos Def pop up on stage and did a surprise performance. Hot!!!!! Right?  I will post pics of that in the next few days.

Anyway, I up for a week of butt kicking, due to finals. Yet, when I'm at Jazz Fest this Friday and Saturday watching Mrs. Lauryn Hill (don't forget the Mrs. Now lol) and Lupe it will all be worth it. Well off to do some damn work. Have a nice day.

P.S:  I'm starting to save for Nixon Camera, so by mid-summer my photos should be the bomb.
