Ankle strap heels is a hot trend this summer.  This style of heel has been seen on celebrities from Solange, Rihanna, and Kerry Washington. Ashley Madekwe has been sporting one of my favorite pairs of the season. The Saint Laurent "Jane" ankle strap heel. Knowing I can't afford to spend my rent money on the YSL , I have my eye on a pair by Jeffrey Campbell and Zara.  Ankle strap shoes are all over and you can get a pair on any budget.  I will be definitely rocking a pair or two this summer.

My friends and family know that one of my favorite things to collect are items on the zodiac. From necklaces to books I collect it all. When I came across the Cosmic Collection by Charlotte Olympia I fall in love. Especially with the Libra flats, because thats my sign (Yeah Libras). Each pair of gold trimmed suede flats features a gorgeous hand-painted enamel symbol, embellished with Swarovski Crystals.  The collection also includes Zodiac Pandora clutch boxes. Over the last couple of weeks we have seen celebs from Rihanna to Kerry Washington show up and show out in Marc Jacob's Louis Vuitton 2013 Spring collection.  The bold checks are both edgy and ladylike. Showing that modest can also be sexy. During my daily search on Ebay I stumble upon a couple of sellers who were selling dresses inspired (ripped) from his 2013 collection.  Ranging from $15 to $26 how isn't that a deal, better yet a steal!!!!

Drop waist dress, Clear heel sandals, and Light flirty Denim dresses are some of the many trends that I'm looking forward to wearing this summer. In fact I've been hitting the gym just so I can look great in these pieces. My three must have this season are metallic footwear, pure white cotton button downs and dress, and sophisticated plays on athletic wear. New Awaking

Hey, its been a long time. Actually its been exactly a year, 5 months, and 27 days since my last post. Over the last  year I have graduated from college, moved back to New York City, gain and lost people I thought were friends, rediscovered my passion and planning for my future.  The rediscovering of my passion and learning how to channel my energy has been one of the best and biggest lessons I have learned living in NYC. New York has taught me that you can not waste your energy on negative people who have nothing good to bring to your life. And that you should never doubt yourself and your talents. So from this post forward, I want to bring you along on my journey of living passionately and with purpose.

Butcher: BBQ and Cool Vibes

Last week I went to grab dinner with my friend Aimee at the restaurant/bar called Butcher which is a part of the Cochon restaurant group. The vibe of Cochon was rustic, modern, and relaxing. A upscale bar without the snooty feel. It had great selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. The menu looked great and price were friendly enough if you can spear $15. What stood out most about Butcher was the actually butcher section. They offer a great variety of meats, sauces, and condiments ( pumpkin bacon preserves, anyone!!!). I order the pulled pork which was well seasoned and soft. The potatoes salad was good, but those sweet pickles mmmm was on point!!  Anyway, I well definitely be taken friends there. And my next stop on the Cochon family tree is Cochon. Heard great reviews and I can't wait to try it out.

Today I meet up with my friend Charle whom I haven't seen in forever. She introduce me to this little cafe called Corner Muse. The place was adorable the food was good and a decent price. And that cookie was awesome. I definitely will be visiting this place again. And as for their organic snowballs I have my eye on the watermelon flavor ( did I mention it was 81 degrees today haha).

Hey everyone, I've been a little incognito. Just been totally busy. I took these quick photos with my Iphone before I went on my weekend errands run. Which didn't include the thrift store (I'm quite sadden by that). The holidays are coming up, which means that people will be shopping like crazy at Urban in turn I will be working crazy, school finals, and having fun with friends. I don't know how I'm going to balance it all especially since I just got another part-time job as a hostess (Yeah, money time!!!).
